Mythos and Petra

This album features many familiar stories from Greek Mythology. The characters from Greek Mythology (humans and gods alike) have very human traits and all have strengths and weaknesses that are relatable.

Talos: The first automaton (metal, robot-like creature), Talos, was created to defend an island. His story begins with being made with the lifeblood of the gods, and because of that, he started to develop a consciousness. He became obsessed with his mortality and wondering if he was going to be around tomorrow.

Argos: This song is aptly named after the ship that Jason and the Argonauts sailed to capture the golden fleece. Jason had had his kingdom stolen from him by his evil uncle, who told him that unless he captured the golden fleece, he would not be given his kingdom back. Capturing the golden fleece was seen as an impossible task, which is what this song recounts.

Sporos: Simply meaning seed in Greek, is a super vulnerable song about wondering when the good seeds that are planted in your life will spring. It’s the feeling of being overdue for change.

Archaios: Meaning ancient in Greek, is a story about seeking the right path. Also my personal favorite on the album.

Mythos: The tale of Odysseus sailing past the island of the sirens.
